During my summer internship at YouTube, I conducted a small research project to gain insights into how fans collect, store, and share artefacts from their interactions with YouTube creators.
Due to signing an NDA, not all details of the project can be shown.

At the start of my YouTube internship, I was asked to design a small research project to run during a major creator event — just days into the role. Tasked with exploring fan or creator behaviour, I developed a study under tight time constraints to make the most of this unique research opportunity.
Despite a tight timeline and low initial expectations—given that most of my time at the event was dedicated to a separate project—I successfully delivered a unique study that produced valuable, illustrated insights into how fans interact with creators, collect mementos, and share those experiences across platforms. The comic strip method proved highly effective, offering rich, visually expressive data that resonated with both participants and my team. The approach was praised for its creativity and impact, and my final report received strong positive feedback. My mentor even ensured the comic strips were preserved for future internal research use, including posters and presentations.
